Om supreme

It's been a frustrating and tired return to D.C., but I still get a fluttery feeling in my gut every time I wake up and realize that that's over for now. Long story short: the APHA conference was certainly an experience, something like 12,000 in attendance, one of those periodic reminders that everyone needs to keep everything in the context that constitued the attraction in the first place. Smart, creative people populate this field, and that makes me happy.

In any case, I want to go away for a bit and celebrate this little milestone. I'm guessing about ten or twelve days, we're up to a minimum of 350 + 744 + 893 miles and this all needs to be wrung from a bank balance that, as of today, dropped into the double digits. It makes me tingle to think about it. C-130s!

I'm also taking proactive measures to make sure that this is the last damn time that I ever think how much I want to listen to Alice Coltrane (oh you fucking know it) for the entire walk home, only to realize at the door that I only have those on vinyl a thousand miles away. I'm bringing out the LPs this time, all else be damned. The easel, too. Other worn out shit that I probably don't need but can't stand being without anymore. Lord, it's going to be so nice to have it all back at hand on a constant basis after a year and a half (!!!) of separation.

Back by Bluestate (if not, call police). Have fun with winter weather, y'all!

Karmani ave adhikars te

Om.
